Looks like this is straight from the Vogue catalog, does it not? Gypc Girl Photography did a superb job on capturing my Rosa gown. The Rosa gown is made from taffeta fabric and the poof sleeves and gloves are removable and can be worn separately.

New Dress! I created the Olivia Silk Bridal mini recently after seeing how popular second looks are lately for brides. I wanted it to be timeless, vintage-inspired, luxe, but also modern, young, and hip. Drop-waists are back on-trend and so are pleats so I incorporated those. The Olivia mini gown also features a handkerchief hem and a piping detail. I paired this mini with a large velvet black removable bow as well. It just clips on at the center back.
Olivia is also fully self-lined with silk satin and fully boned.

So happy to share photos from the real bride Tiffiny’s wedding day.
Tiffiny is another Lakeland, FL local and we even met before she was engaged and worked at a print company.
She contacted me years in advance of her wedding day and we started designing her dream dress together via Skype and emails. I was still in Austin, Texas at the time she contacted me, and soon moved back to Lakeland, where I was able to finish her dress fittings in person. (Which is always preferred)
We used crepe for the main part of the dress with a chiffon overlay and a soft lining. The back is adorned with about 100 buttons and an embroidered lace back.
Don’t you love the elegance of the mock neck paired with the romantic lace back?
I’m feeling Royal vibes! 👑
Review from Tiffiny
“Desiree is currently making my dress. I've followed her work, for years and knew I'd want to be her client one day. She has always been professional, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She has taken the vision of what I wanted and made it a beautiful reality. I truly feel lucky that she is making my personalized gown.”
So thrilled to finally show you these photos from real Bride’s Kathryn wedding to Jordan.
They were married on 10/24/2021 in front of their friends and family at their family-owned restaurant.
I love how they kept their traditions close and integrated a lot of their Chinese heritage into their wedding.
I worked with Kathryn on creating a Chinese-style cheongsam reception dress.
She had a clear vision of what she wanted, which was ideal, since we only had a few months to create from scratch.

Erica/Vervain came to me with lots of beautiful laces she already handpicked herself and a bodice piece from her mothers gown she hand beaded/embroidered. We then started sketching her dream dress together (she already sketched it once) and I began putting together her ball gown.
She is wearing a hoop skirt underneath several layers of lace and satin for that full look. Hoop skirts opposed to layers of net and tulle are a great option because it gives you so much space for your legs/feet to walk and it keeps you cooler throughout the day.
I am grateful to have worked with her on this dress, I love it, and her photos from the wedding are GORGEOUS!

I would love to say every bride should get a custom-made wedding dress, but after working with lots of brides, I can say that there are some qualities/traits some brides possess that make them a better fit for purchasing a custom-made wedding dress.
If one or more of these traits sound like you, then you will want to consider going custom!
She knows what she wants, almost exactly, and cannot find it at a traditional bridal salon
She loves the idea of having something no one else has and loves a lot of the designs I have created
She’s creative understands the process of making something from scratch
She loves to support local entrepreneurs and understands even though Desiree or another Dress designer may strive for perfection, it may not be perfect, it’s Wabi-Sabi
In addition to one of the above traits:
She understands she will need to attend around 5-7 fittings, possibly more if the design is changed, or there are weight changes*
*She understands someone is making a gown for her so she maintains her weight. The fitting process usually takes 3-6 mos.
She can visualize her dress from the sketch, not for the faint of heart
Designer Pledge:
I promise to be realistic with you on what I can create, within your timeline and budget, and what would need to be substituted because I don’t have the same equipment as large manufacturers or a tool/fabric/applique is unavailable to me.
I know this is the most special garment you may ever wear, and I am thrilled every time I get to be apart of that experience with a bride. I will put in every effort to make it the best experience for you.
Custom Bridal Gowns currently average at $2,000.
